Lichtzeichen Bali Mandala 2024 – The Magic of New Beginnings

Kadek & Kadek Bali Mandala

The challenging year of 2023 is history – and now a new chapter of life awaits us. The magic of new beginnings and the excitement about what may come in 2024 also drives us here in North Bali.

Of course, we know of birthdays and other upcoming annual events. And yet there is still a lot of space for the unknown. For uncertain developments and opportunities that cannot be predicted and which surprise us – hopefully in positive ways.

On a personal level, it may be a new love, new professional challenges, new personal encounters.

In addition, we might also encounter ourselves more deeply. We reflect whether we have “found ourselves” or our place in the world.

We at Bali Mandala are particularly looking forward to welcoming our guests in the new year of 2024 – guests who have already been here, as well as those who are finding their way to us for the first time. Personal encounters and individual exchange between one another have a special meaning to us and are characteristic for the familiar atmosphere at the resort.

May you have a joyfully connected, compassionate and hopefully magical new year!

Lichtzeichen Bali Mandala Ayu, Yoga Teacher – “Our Team” Episode 2

Ayu Yoga Bali Mandala

Welcome to part 2 of our series “Our Team”, in which we gradually introduce some of the members of the Bali Mandala team.

Today: Kadek Ayu, called Ayu, because the name Ayu is more specific than Kadek, which comes from the Malay language and means “the second”.

Ayu has been at Bali Mandala for around one and a half years and not only caters to the individual needs of each participant in her yoga sessions, but always brings a natural dose of joy and good humor that is infectious.

Everything else about Ayu in our Q&A:

What is your full name?
Ayu: My name is Kadek Ayu Bidrayani.

Where are you from?
Ayu: I am from Bondalem, Bali, the same village where Bali Mandala is located.

Do you teach certain styles of yoga?
Ayu: Yes, I do, I teach different types of yoga: Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Yin Yoga in combination with Pranayama, Astangga Yoga and also Pregnancy Yoga.

I usually teach basic Hatha yoga in the first session and in the following sessions I can start to vary with other styles. Everything – including the level change – depends on the condition and movements of the participants. My approach is to help each participant to enjoy yoga at their own level. It is therefore an interactive and adaptative encounter with each participant.

How did you come to Bali Mandala?
Ayu: The management of Bali Mandala heard about me and asked me if I would like to teach yoga in the mornings or afternoons.

What do you like to do in your free time?
Ayu: I like to meditate at home and constantly try to improve my yoga skills. Sometimes I visit special places or holy sites to connect with the universe.

What do you particularly like about Bali?
Ayu: Art, culture, natural tourist attractions and all the ceremonies at every full and new moon.
