Did you know?
Here in Northern Bali, at the island’s largest coconut palm tree grove, the locals claim that coconuts have eyes. How come?
Well, as they say that coconuts can see where they drop, they can also influence when they drop – since until now no coconut has fallen on anyone’s head here.
And while we believe that coconuts may have eyes indeed, we play it safe and make sure that the palm trees are regularly trimmed by special “coconut pickers” who climb the trees and hand-pick the ripe coconuts for our guests.

News from the Bali Mandala
Besides being home to coconuts with eyes, Bali is also exceptionally fertile. The rich vegetation and the diversity of species is as much a living proof of the islands natural abundance as the many children in the village here.
And so the big family of our team naturally continues to grow too, making us seventy-six-time “grandparents of honors” by now – which our team and we are very proud of.
